What a nice weekend...

my old best-friend and former roommate got married Saturday. I was the best man at his first wedding in Florence, Italy. It was a beautiful wedding, but alas, it didn't last.

He married a beautiful woman named Julie yesterday. His 11 year old son was his best man this time. The wedding and reception was at Spago's in Palo Alto. His new father-in-law is a very accomplished Wall Street lawyer, and we had a great time chatting. It was a beautiful wedding, and the meal was fantastic.

Then today, we went to a bbq hosted by a friend I hadn't seen in two years. His partner passed away in November, and I hadn't seen him since. I ran into a bunch of old friends, including Julia, who is now 86 and Roger, who's 91. What a treat it is to see older people who are living full, happy lives.

Plus, I got email from a little Amish girl my parents have befriended back in Pennsylvania. I must be one of the few people in the world to maintain an email relationship with the Amish.

Yeah.. it was a very good weekend.

Personally, I've had a 'weeding weekend' myself.

Have spent the entire weekend pulling weeds, weeds as big as my house in most cases, with roots that go down about 600 feet!

What a fun way to spend the weekend, huh?
