Hung Butchers 'Take Me Out to Ball Game' TORONTO - William Hung butchered "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" during the seventh-inning stretch of Sunday's matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and Texas Rangers, much to the delight of 22,225 at SkyDome. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=501&ncid=716&e=8&u=/ap/20040531/ap_on_en_mu/people_william_hung

1. He never seems to show up at Berkeley, though. |
|
My son goes there and has never seen him or known anyone who has but everybody who visits always wants to know where William is.

I must have missed out on something here by not being too engaged with popular culture...but unfortunately I did not miss out on the Rangers-Jays game yesterday...
Who in the hell is this hack? Is he some kind of "I'm godawful and talentless but I'll still shuck and jive for my money" celebrity?
He stunk. I'd rather hear Carl Lewis or Jose Lima fuck up a tune at a sporting event than to be subjected to that noise again.

4. He seems to be an asian version of the old "steppin/fetching" sterotype |

A no talent kid who was willing to sign half of anything he might earn away to the American Idol ruse to have a chance at fame and money.
Now he either doesn't know or doesn't care that he is the latest newsshow filler for the masses to look at and feel superior to.

5. Well, if he was attacking the overpriced baseball corporate industry, then |

I'd be fine with it. After all, it's heckling an entity usurped from the common man.
But he's just doing his usually hamming-it-up tokenism and to make a stadium full of dim sheep squeal with delight.
