Poll question: What's your price? How much to vote for *? |
|
Would any amount tempt you? No cheating allowed - you can't take the $ and vote for anyone but *bush for POTUS in '04.
We'll start at $250000 since you would actually have to have some benefit from bush being president.

if you take the money, will Bush inevitably be elected -- or will he simply have one single vote more in your state?

7. Let's say one vote in your state, but... |
|
You have to admit in public that you voted for him. :evilfrown:

and here is why...
If I had that much money I could afford to take my family and friends someplace else. I could afford to live anywhere I wanted. I could afford to be someplace where he isn't. I'd also have enough money that he'd be forced to kiss my ass if need be.
Just being honest.

6. You could do that with $10,000,000 |
|
Interest income on that would be about $400,000 a year. You'd be able to move to any country and not have to work.

And the problem with taking too much money is, they will want to steal it. You might end up having to make regular GOP contributions just so they will leave you alone.

I wouldn't stay a citizen of this country. I'm not to attached to the place anyway. I'd be happy to be a citizen of someplace else. I just don't know where that is yet. Still looking.

25. I`d like to say I can`t be bought - |
|
but I did sell my vote. But I`m with you- I`d use the money to get the hell out of the U.S., cuz if Shrub wins again, we`re all screwed anyway. Canada appeals to me. Or maybe Ireland or England, the homes of my ancestors. Which begs the question, why the hell did they ever leave?

3. More like $2,000,000, but |
|
$1,000,000 is closer than $10,000,000.

Then I could buy a small country with it and convince all the remaining Americans with functioning brain cells to emigrate there.
As for Bush*, his theme song would change from "Don't Know Much..." to "King of Nothing"

11. I'd do it for $250,000 so long as I got it in advance. |
|
Then I'd donate every penny to Dems, so in effect I would be taking $250k directly from Bush and giving it to Kerry. That's worth a lot more than one vote to the cause.

|
I'd take the money, give it to Kerry's campaign and vote for bush in Nebraska where it would not matter any way.

18. Q: When do we get the money? |
|
I mean, if I promise to vote for Bush now, and I get $1 billion right now, can I turn right around and give it to the DNC for their House and Senate victory committees?
$1 billion + a Democratic Congress is not a bad consolation prize.

24. I would do it for 50,000 St. Gauden's 1907 $20 gold pieces. |
|
Seriously. I've got it all worked out. With that haul, I know I could get at least 10 Bush voters to go for Kerry, plus I'd have a PRETTY penny left over.
They say every man has his price? I don't know about that. I know I do...
