12. Oddly enough I could muster some sliver of empathy

for Nixon when he died. I don't know why. He actually did do "some" good things in his time, despite his crimes. And he now seems so much less conservative than what we have now. ( not sure if this is a bit of nostalgia creeping in for what seemed like a simpler time - it was the 60s/70s and they were pretty turbulent!)
