Today's the big day...who's taking it?
I figure we could all use a little group pep talk/therapy to help relieve some of the stress.

Good luck folks and remember the ETS who designs these tests originally designed these tests for the military and intelligence services to "screen" people. Always choose the most reactiuonary and right wing answers and you should do well.
And remember, it is only a test. The world needs decent lawyers and to "pass" you have to fake a lot of reactionariism.

6. Hard to believe I took it 9 years ago |
|
I got through it. I took it an Manhattan College in Riverdale. Right after the test I went down the block to the bar I was a regular and sometimes bartender at, The Pinewood. I drank for about 10 hours to drown the sadness because I knew I blew the test.
Turns out I did very well, got into a great law school and have been practicing almost 5 years.
Good luck with your tests DUers. Its all worth it in the end. Just remember to do plenty of pro bono work when you get out of law school. Helping someone out in a landlord tenant dispute, or when some poor guy dies without a will, really raises the karma and makes you feel pretty good.
We need more lawyers on the "right" side.

2. Jeff is sitting next to Linda. Linda is sitting across from Bob. |

If Bob is not sitting next to Phil, then which of the following statements CANNOT BE TRUE?
a) Phil is sitting next to Linda. b) Linda only drinks decaf, because caffeine makes her jittery. c) Jeff is grappling with issues over his own sexual orientation. Leave him alone. d) There really aren't any chairs. They are a figment of your overproductive imagination. e) ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!

I dont remember any right or left answer when I took it 7 years ago lol, it was mostly just logic puzzles and reading comprehension.
The bottom line is, if you prepped by going over a few old tests, you will do ok....that's all I did and I scored pretty well.

5. I never actually took it |
|
but I looked at the sample questions and know the process is a bitch.
BTW, do you have an idea where you would like to go to law school?
Good luck on the exam!

:)
Glad it's over with.
I guess I did alright. I don't think I did as well as I'd hoped (a 170 out of 180- about an 88-90% raw score), but I think I did well enough.
We'll just have to see.
Again, though, just glad it's over and done with.
