13 Y.O. DRIVER Ejected From Car - Killed
<snip>

WILDWOOD, Fla. -- A 13-year-old driver is dead after a weekend wreck that also injured his 14-year-old and 12-year-old passengers in Lake County.

Investigators say driver Tarrell Register was killed in the Saturday wreck near Wildwood when he was ejected from the vehicle. Also ejected as 14-year-old Randy Burton, who's in stable condition at a hospital. The 12-year-old was not seriously hurt.

Family members say the car's owner gave Register the keys. But no charges have been filed yet, since police say it's not clear if the boy actually had permission to drive.

4. No, that person shouldn't...
At least not until it's determined if the kid was told he could drive. When I was a kid my parents would give me the car keys to warm the car up or to put them on the hook. I was never given permission to move the car from the driveway and never tried.

If the owner of the vehicle told him to go ahead and take a spin then yes, by all means, charge him!

7. It depends
They could have given him the keys and said, "Can you hang these on the hook?" or, "Can you give these to your mom?"

IF they said, "Here, take it for a spin."

Well then ya, they SHOULD be charged with homicide.

And one guy was bragging that his 8-year old drives a pickup truck around on his 30 acre farm. I hope he reads this...
