Gay and Lesbian themed movie you LOVED. |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-18-04 01:01 PM by Q3JR4
Which ones did you love so much that you plan to keep three copies of, one in your house, in your car, and in your back pocket so that someone who hasn't heard of the wonders of that particular movie can see it right then and there? A movie that is so fabulous that you intend to show it to your mother, father, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, anyone else who will watch it or you can bribe to do so?
************************************ On Edit: Or list the ones you just really liked...though that's not as much fun. ;)

Carrying it around is a bit much, but...
Better than Chocolate was pretty good.

was pretty good. I can't help but think that they always cut the good parts out when showing it on television though...

on DVD, I want a copy of the play, and I want a download of Tony Kushner's brain. I've never heard such amazing facility with the language, ever.

Just a well made film. Stephen Fry is brilliant as Oscar Wilde. With Jude Law as Lord Alfred Douglas. An excellent version of this brave man.

A guilty pleasure is 'All Over the Guy'. It has several logical flaws but I like the romance anyway.
I like the Israeli film 'Yossi and Jagger' about two Israeli soldiers in love.
Another guilty pleasure is 'Defying Gravity' (or as I call it 'Frat Boys in Love'). Again, some logical holes but sweet.
I rewatched 'Maurice' just recently and liked it all over again. Rupert Greaves is just so touching in his openness.
And I just watched a Spanish film called 'Kilometer Zero' which is constructed similarly to films like 'Love Actually'. It was very appealing and one of the major subplots involves two very cute Spanish guys.
'The Opposite of Sex' is also one of my favorites.
And, yes, I do force people to watch them all the time! ;-)

Arwalden and I traded notes on this movie on an earlier thread on a similar topic.
I and my partner have actually shown this movie and lent this movie to straight friends, as we like it so much.
