Karl Malone can kiss my ugly ass! |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-10-03 04:06 PM by Sean Reynolds
Well it's official, Malone will bolt the Jazz for the Lakers. I guess he cares more about the title, than team loyalty.
Sorry, but I must vent.
Karl Malone has adamantly attacked other players for riding the coattails of others. Now he's leaving the Jazz, a team that has put up with his spew for 18 years, to do just that. Can we say hypocrite?
Just because Utah isn't as 'good' as he would like, he's leaving. Well I believe John Stockton, who retired without a ring, will go down in history with higher regards than Karl Malone.
Malone can kiss my ass because I've put my heart into supporting him for a long time. This is how he repays me? How he repays the Jazz organization? Fuck that!

Edited on Thu Jul-10-03 04:11 PM by catzies
Sean, believe me, all the stupid Lakers fans I've talked to hate him then and will hate him now. I thought Karl deserved to be treated better, but now I'm not so sure.
I talked to Karl for a second, too, at the Stockton tribute, doWn on the floor in the DC when he hung around. I told him his speech was beautiful and he thanked me. I guess he was hanging around to say goodbye after all.
I already decided I'm not going to any more LA games because it always sucked, having to deal with the fans here. When I want to see the Jazz I go to Salt Lake. Maybe I'll go when the Lakers are in town so I can boo them and their newest team member.
I DO NOT WANT TO SEE KARL MALONE IN A LAKERS UNIFORM!!!!!
I've been crying at my desk for 15 minutes and I want to go home and take the license plate frame off my car that says: MY 3 FAVORITE WORDS ARE 'STOCKTON TO MALONE!'

8. As I posted on jazzfanz.com |
|
In a reply to 'S'. It hurts because for 18 years we Jazz fans have taken his crap. Now after all that he turns around and retires as a Laker. I can't take it. I've lost A LOT of respect for Malone, and I don't know if I could ever get it back.
Malone may have been an amazing player, but that doesn't support what he did today. I won't lie, if I go to a Jazz-Lakers game, I will boo him.
Sadly, Malone was my favorite Jazz player, that changed today.

Has been and always will be a punk. Him and his boy Stockton were some of the dirtiest players ever, and Malone is definitely one of the whiniest. He may win a title in L.A., and he may eventually own the all-time scoring title, but he'll never have any class. I hope the Spurs get Kidd just so Malone and Payton can be denied again.

So a Republican Laker bandwagoner would have to be the worst of all.

The lakers just bought their championship ring for next year. You have Payton and Bryant/Shaq and Karl (twin towers-2) it will be pretty intimidating.

and will be happy to point at that you are a "HOMER"! Stockton was one of the dirtiest players in the league, according to an informal poll taken amongst players throughout the league a few years back. That little troll would run through his picks with his elbows high, and a lot of guys did not appreciate that. Also, and I'm not trying to take away from the fact that he was an accomplished and skilled player, but that guy flopped.. A LOT!!
Now.. I have always DESPISED KM, but I will welcome him to the Lakers, cuz they have been lacking at forward for along time, and it will be nice to get that stiff, Sumaki "Mall" Walker, the hell out!!
Kings fan .. enjoy your Pacific Division title banner.. you may not see another for a couple years! PEACCCE!!

No way Phil is retiring without more rings. Before this team retires, expect at least 2 more titles, probably 3.
And what's so sweet, is the biased officiating and pathetic play of the so-called *best* teams in the league this year have shut up all the Laker haters about bias. After watching the *purs get away with all those false calls just to hand Robinson a title, no one can criticize the Lakers dominance anymore. *purs were handed a title, and they could barely play well enough to keep it.

No one in the league gets away with more crap than Shaq and Kobe. If they called every foul on Shaq that he actually commits, he'd average about 10 minutes a game.
As for Karl Malone, I hope he doesn't get that ring.

13. As a Spur fan, I don't hope for that... |
|
Frankly, as much as I like Jason Kidd, the player most Spurs fans really want is Jermaine O'Neal. With Robinson retiring, and Tony Parker starting to really hit his stride as a point guard, what we need is a strong big man as our power forward - not a point guard. (This, of course, assumes Duncan moving to center).

28. Kidd won't make the *purs anything |
|
Kidd's the last position they need. Timid Duncan can't handle being double teamed for long, and he'll get it constantly. Even though David Robinson was just an old bag of bones waiting to pick up a gimme ring on his way out, at least Duncan was used to him.
Odds makers have Lakers (1) Sacramento (2) *purs(3) to win a championship next year, and this after *purs cake-walked to their title this year (before Malone, Payton news).

not after the sh*it posted ad nauseum about the Lakers, and the *purs got even BETTER treatment than that from the Refs. Wassa matter, *poof* no conspiracy anymore when your boys are playing and getting mega benes?
If you're going to be such a tough ass, you should just admit the *spurs got a fucking cakewalk. Or you better get used to hearing it for years, and just quit your bitching and get over it.
*purs - 99 championship on a shortened season *purs - 03 cakewalk (all major contender teams had injuries)

38. treatment from the Refs? |
|
Any team with Shaq on it should stay away from the "better treatment from the ref's" discussions. The man rarely does anything other then run people over, and if they fall he gets upset and elbows them in the face the next time they meet.

44. Hey, one other question |
|
What, exactly, is the justification for putting an asterisk after the 99 championship? I'm honestly curious about this. What makes it any less a championship? Still had to win 15 playoff games, just like every other year. Just because the season is short, we all played the same number of games. So what, exactly, gives it an asterisk?

Oh, are we still a little sore from that championship the Spurs got? Boo-hoo. You know, I don't know of any post-player that just hangs onto the ball when double-teamed, even O'Neal. I also laugh heartily at "timid" Tim Duncan..yep, the same Tim Duncan that usually gets about 25 points, 10 boards and 3 blocks a game.
I bet most teams wish their players were that "timid."

It was a cakewalk. At least round two, against the Lakers, was a cakewalk.
Hell, the Nets gave us a tougher time than y'all did.
Oh, also notice that our record 8 game road winning streak came with Robinson on the IR. So he really wasn't that big a part of the team.
Duncan absolutely dominated and will continue to do so.
BTW, is that Marine Shaq hired actually working him out or is he using a Hummer to go on Krispy Kreme runs?
And will Webber and Kobe be sharing a jail cell this year?
I'm glad we aren't getting Kidd. Don't need him, don't want.
So enjoy your time with an aging punk and an aging ballhog. Let's see, you got another point guard who is regularly schooled by Tony Parker, an aging power forward who only knows the pick and roll and is regularly schooled by Duncan.
Yeah, massive upgrades there. Best of luck.
Whiner.

He's there for practically two decades and the Jazz organization refuses to surround him with great players.
What is he supposed to do, just ride out his career and go out a loser?
Give me a break. I'm not even a Jazz fan, I don't even like Malone, but the guy deserves the opportunity to win a title. He gave that whole damn state a reason to be on the cultural radar map, no matter how small it was.

How many did Jordan have when the Bulls won from 91-93? There was Pippen and a whole bunch of roleplayers that hustled and played good defense. Same with the Jazz teams that lost the championships to the Bulls..the rest of the Jazz did their job and did it well.
