Howard Stern raves about Michael Moore's new movie
Wow, what a great wakeup call. Stern saw Michael Moore's new movie and absolutely loved it. And Stern is disgusted at how movie theaters won't bother to show this movie.

He mentioned how 'Page 6' of the New York Post (murdoch's rag) mentioned that 9/11 didn't receive a standing ovation. Stern commented the reason they didn't applaud because people were just disgusted at the horrors of the Bush administration.

I think what thrilled me the most was Stern's willingness to do whatever he can to help promote this movie including live appearances across the country and a Score's party for folks who send in their ticket stubs from the movie. Plus he's going to have Michael Moore in this week to help promote the movie.

Say what you will about Stern's show, but he's been one of the biggest supporters to help get Bush out of office.

Just want to thank Howard Stern for everything he is doing!!

4. Outstanding -now THAT is some good marketing
How many listeners does Stern reach again? More in one day that Rush, O'Reilly, and Hannity put together in a WEEK?

5. between 10 and 20 million
He doesn't have as much as those other guys put together, but unlike those otherguys his listeners aren't movement conservatives, probably a fraction of his are but not anything close to a majority.

6. God Bless The King Of All Media...
From The King Of All Paperboys.

Man, I can't wait to get him back here in San Diego.

Clear Channel sucks elephant dicks.

7. Didn't you hear? Clear Channel is filing lawsuits to block...
...other stations from picking up the STern show in those 6 markets where Stern was booted off by Clear Channel.

See, the thing is, Clear Channel was making a ton of money off of the Stern show from the advertisers because advertisers know that Stern fans will bend over backwards to support the advertisers.

Stern mentioned this morning that Clear Channel is blocking other stations in those 6 area markets from picking up and broadcasting the Howard Stern show. Clear Channel knows they'll get hit with revenue loss because the advertisers would go with the new station carrying Stern where the money is much better

8. We'll see...
If they refuse to air the show, or pay for it, they can't very well stop others, can they? Isn't that restraint of trade.

Fuckers.

9. Do you know....
how they are justifying a lawsuit? I wonder if he had a contract with them that doesn't allow him to compete for a certain time period.

10. A "no compete" clause would be a possibility,
But they abrogated the contract. Are they paying off the contract anyway? Does anyone know?

12. Seems any contract would be void
As Clear Channel dropped him. Unless, of course, they are still paying him which I doubt.

Would love for someone to pick him up here in Orlando.

14. My guess is that they've already payed him
for the contract period, or they had to buy out his contract. That's the only way they would have a legal leg to stand on to block other stations to pick him up.

16. Hey KingofPaperboys, what lameness does San Diego's CC station
have on instead of Stern now? Wasn't it the 105 station? Call sign?
Can people in N. County poach Stern's LA show? I used to live in Cardiff a few years ago, and P.B./M.B. before that.

17. They're just some morning tools now.
Edited on Mon Jun-21-04 10:53 PM by King Of Paperboys
Yeah, it was KIOZ... I think that was 105.3, or 102.1 ... and I can't get too many L.A. stations, even in North County... not the best radio in my car.

I just have to wait... and wait... and wait.

11. Howard Stern has balls
He will say anything and he doesn't care what kind of trouble it gets him into.

I hated him for a short while when he was promoting Bush but I like him now.

He probably had a bucket under his desk to puke in when he said shit about Bush that he didn't want to say.

13. He meant it when he said it.
He's a fairly conservative guy, he just overreacted to 9/11, like a lot of people. He is the father of 3 daughters, and worries about the world they inherit. He just didn't think it through at first. Now he has, and he admitted he was wrong. Gotta admire that.

18. I like Howard
What he is on the outside is the person he is on the inside.

He is honest about his opinions and feelings.
