What's your favorite movie of the last 10 years? |
|
Mine is "Good Will Hunting."
And let's take into account "guy flicks" and "chick flicks." They're going to be different, so let's be nice to each other.

If so, "Pulp Fiction". If not, what year was "Fargo"? If "Fargo" doesn't qualify, "Crumb".

14. Yeah, I think "Fargo" was 1993, but it's one of my favorites too. |
|
What the hell. So 10 years may be too narrow. Start another thread if you want to.

It's absolutely brilliant. The way Dustin Hoffman keeps saying, "This is nothing!" every time something goes wrong, until they're sitting in a field with the plane crashed around them.
And if you think the movie is cynical, check out the book it was based on, An American Hero by Larry Beinhart.

19. Although everyone tried to pin "Wag the Dog" to Clinton, |
|
It is a perfect metaphor for the Shrub years. This administration is about illusion. Substance be damned. And if we don't get rid of them this Nov., we'll all be damned.
Sorry to inject politics into a movie thread, but these fuckers will kill us all unless we beat them back.

I love that movie so much, especially the part where Billy Crudup is on acid at the party in Topeka.
"How do we know you're not with the cops!?!?!?!?"
"I dig music...AND I'M ON DRUGS!!!!"
"I hurt the flower."
I have to watch that again soon. :7
