Looks like I'll be joining the vast media conspiracy... |

Phone rang and it was the editor of our tiny little newspaper; apparently his ace reporter is going back to school, and there'a a full-time job coming available. And he thought of me. :)
So much for my LTTE soapboxing, now it appears I'll have to be Fair and Balanced! :D

I've got precious little post-college newspaper experience. Is this a daily? Weekly? Will you be covering hard news, community stuff, features? (My area of expertise was featury fluff.)
Good luck!

The staff's so small, I imagine I'll be covering everything. Bearing in mind this is a newspaper famous for such hard-hitting front page stories as "Snow blankets entire valley". :D

You should chat with HEyHEY. It sounds like he's got a similar situation at his paper.

Patriot Act II- Domestic security enhancement act- section 102:
any information gathering can be considered as the pursuit of covert intelligience for a foriegn power- even legal intelligience gathering by a US reporter. This provision could make newsgathering illegal, and therefore an act of terrorism.
Good luck and watch your back.
