8. "Greatest American Hero" |
|
And it was also used on Seinfeld. George used it as his answering machine message. "Beeelieve it or not George isn't at home..."

16. Thanks for the correction. |

Never watched the show. The theme song sure works well in this application.
Moore did a great job with his music selections.

11. Favorite is the wrong word, but |
|
The part that will stay with me the longest was the Bush supporter telling Lila Lipscomb her son's death was staged, then telling her to "blame al-Quieda." It hurt like hell to watch, but seeing that type of Freeper crap finally being exposed on film was one of the most significant contributions to the political debate so far.
I didn't laugh as much at F911 as others did. Bush's idiocy doesn't really amuse me, though I was glad to see it exposed. But watching the Iraqi woman screaming at Americans because her uncle's house was bombed and she'd lost five family members, and then watching the man scream at us as he tossed the child's body in the truck-- I didn't enjoy those scenes, but I so badly wanted to see Bush supporters forced to watch that.
My main memory of Reagan's administration happened after the Iranian airliner was shot down over the Persian Gulf, when we had no business being there. CNN was new, then, and not so formulaic, so you still saw raw news from time to time. They were covering the recovery operations when a small boat pulled up, and young man held an infant out to the cameras. The baby was dead, and the man held it out to the cameras by the leg, and he screamed at the camera.
Moore's film did that. Republicans should be forced to watch those scenes, and their reactions should be videotaped, so they can see what type of human beings they are.

15. Towards the end, Moore |
|
shows soldiers and makes the statement that they are willing to defend our country but all they ask is that we not send them in harms way unless it is really necessary (paraphrasing here).
That was a commercial in itself.
