God told me to make this shrimp bbq recipe today |
|
I made this today -- AH HEAVEN! I share it now with my friends at DU:
Make a pitcher of Margaritas; pour a cup of Margarita into a large shallow bowl. To this Margarita, add a dollop of olive oil, add Thai garlic/pepper sauce to taste, and chop some cilantro into it. Marinate the shrimp in it (i.e. for as long as it takes you to drink the rest of the pitcher of Margaritas) then skewer the shrimp, stick it on the barbie, and then brush on the remaining marinade until shrimp is done.
It was good. Very good.

3. And God told me to liberate those shrimp from you, an evildoer |
|
So, hand 'em over. I know they'll celebrate me as their liberator as soon as I show up.
Sounds like perfection! I never would have thought to marinate in a margarita, but wow, I bet that's tasty!!
So what's your margarita recipe? I would assume, since you used it as a marinade, and since you made a pitcher, you don't make those blended abominations, but make legitimate margaritas?

4. a slight variation - put some on the grill, the rest - |
|
put in a casserole, in the oven, in the shell, in the marinade, covered, 4-6 minutes...serve in the casserole, and make sure you have a loaf of good french bread to soak up the hot juices
