4. Are you sure you would want a John Wayne ?
I mean, that right-wing dude was rather ...well....Right Wing.

Umm...I think I can get a George Cloony for you though....but you'll have to be nice to him.

5. I have found a very nice
MacGyver type. He can fix anything. Has a great tan, I even like his knees. Best of all -- I've converted him. He used to be a die-hard republican (just because his parents are). We still have a ways to go -- but, I'm encouraged -- at least for the moment

Edited on Tue Aug-26-03 11:04 PM by supernova
Forget John Wayne. This is the only celebrity worth screwing. Edit: Artistic, sensitive, a bit shy, great sense of humor, well read, and very macho. :* Johnny, finally getting the attention you deserve, you way too talented SOB you!!

7. My favorite actor!
Depp is amazing! My late brother looked a lot like him, except he was blond. He was a lot like Depp's character in 'Gilbert Grape'. Maybe that has something to do with my love for Depp, though he is a great actor.

Though, he did finally learn how to get a life in the end. Sorry for your brother. Was he older or younger than you?

25. My favorite too. Love that picture.
He's genuinely likeable. Plus, in terms of acting, I think our three best actors are (no particular order) Pacino, Hackman and Depp.

35. Did you see Donnie Brasco?
Depp more than holds his own against Pacino. I nearly fainted from all the testosterone coming off the screen. Great character study flick, even if it is a mafia movie.

Nor Marilyn Monroe.

But if a Jeff Goldblum happens by, or for that matter a Janene Garafalo, would you mind flagging him/her down for me?

14. Jeff Goldblum and POTC
From Jurassic Park:

John Hammond: All major theme parks have delays. When they opened Disneyland in 1956, nothing worked.

Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but John, if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists.

LOL!

22. Didja know: JWayne was a bonafide draft dodger?
When his buds J Stewart and H Fonda joined the armed services (WWII), Wayne announced he'd make two more movies then join. He never did. He just kept making movies and in one interview, when questioned about this, said he had a family to support, that he couldn't afford to quit making movies to join the armed forces. During the war, he was reportedly involved in two fights with US servicemen on leave who called him out for the cowardly hypocrite he really was.

Ladies, you don't want a JW -- I guess if I were gay I'd be drooling over Depp, or Nicholas Cage. And if, god forbid, the little missus were not around, I might hang up a poster of Vivian Leigh or Catherine Deneuve.

24. Finding John Wayne....
I'm 39 years old. I find that as the pool of single, heterosexual men has shrunk (let's face it, people don't usually wait until age 40 to get married) my standards have risen so high that most of the men left can't make it over the bar.

27. Advice from an old Russian movie--it's best to grow your own.
Stop looking for the perfect mate, focus on being the perfect mate, marry someone you trust, cultivate him, and give him time.

Here's an old Muslim parable/story.

There's two guys talking. One asks the other: "Why didn't you ever marry?"

The guy responds: "Well, I could never find the perfect person. The first girl I dated as beautiful, but she wasn't very nice. The next girl was nice, but she didn't share my interests. And it went on and on like that--always something. Finally I met a girl who was beautiful, kind, talented, in sync with all my interests."

The first guy cried: "Why didn't you marry her?"

The guy answered: "Well, seems like she was looking for the perfect guy."

30. I didn't know I was supposed to look for one.
Didn't get that memo.

Also forgot to look for a Prince Charming. Instead I bought my own castle and my own crown jewels. Carriage is a Honda Accord. No charging steeds in the stable either, just cats who go where they like.

I did have two wicked stepmothers though, and the third seems to be the keeper according to Daddy the King.

My Court Treasurer says all is well in the keep, and the Jester keeps me entertained and brings me ale. So this Princess can't complain.
