WASHINGTON, D.C. - As the race for the presidency continues, so does the mudslinging between the principal rivals. This time it is over who did or did not do his part to combat Cthulhu and his ilk.
George W. Bush threw the first punch of the battle yesterday by calling Kerry to account for his participation in a 1983 protest against government-sanctioned Deep One persecution, including standing at the head of a mob and throwing his elder signs over the White House fence.
Speaking in Georgebonics, Bush said, "If Kerry truly wants safetification for American people, and also our own countrymen, why did he -- he shouldn't have oughta done that despicable deed."
Translated into Standard American English, Bush's comment reads: "John Kerry is a two-faced liberal bozo whose only goal in life is the exploitation of America."
John Kerry responded almost immediately, stating that the signs he threw were not his own, but in fact were those of other new age hippies unable to attend the protest.
Said Kerry, "I did, however, throw some paper rubbings of my elder signs as symbolic of my struggle against racism."
