...my porn. Now that it has actually happened to me I don't have any more computer based nightmares.

<on edit>

That "Hello Kitty" thingy might give me a new one though. :scared:

Did you knoww there is a whole fetish about men who like women who wear "Hello Kitty" underware? The weirdness never stops.

17. Sounds like a dream come true.
Xp-full of security holes that get matched months after the exploits are out in the wild.

Mac-some security holes that get patched within days.

4. Selling my computer
Only to find out that the notebook that I was promised by Dell was on backorder because I didn't know how much the shipping was going to cost and I couldn't get in touch with their customer service dept. to find out.

It was a total loss for Dell because they could have made some money off of me but they wouldn't respond to my questions or acknowledge that I wanted to pay them.

8. Have You Tried
The "I Hate Dell" web-site?

It's made up from their "outsourced" employees in the US who happen to have a lot of experience.

11. geez, don't get me started
I actually have computer nightmares almost every night.

  • failed backups
  • blowing more than one drive in a RAID
  • fires
  • brownouts toasting every power supply in sight
  • server theft
  • UNIX virus infestations
  • caught naked in the server room (OK, that's just plain strange)

What I should do about paying Dell for the shipping of the notebook computer.

I wish that they would acknowledge that I paid them.

Maybe a Hello Kitty will be something that I can add on later to look like a dork.

on a friend's machine. I built it for him about a year back...got it all loaded up and patched and virus protected and firewalled...and all he uses it for is to look for porn...a couple of days ago he calls me up saying he has been 'hacked' and it turns out this NKVD crap is all over the place on his system...what a pain in the ass. Good thing he had some beer at the house...
