I've got ground beef and a fairly well-stocked kitchen |
|
Nothing unreal, but proper array of spices, esp basic Asian stuff, marinades, onions, peppers, etc.
What can I make with that? Besides Chili, which I'm trying to avoid, since I've made it before...

6. Got lettuce? Make lettuce roll-ups |
|
Saute the ground beef with some onions or garlic, or both.
Add some chili, ginger, and a little cumin.
clean some lettuce leaves.
Spoon the beef mixture into the lettuce leaves, roll up, and eat like an eggroll.
Yum.

7. You can make a hawaiian style burger |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-06-04 09:20 PM by Rabrrrrrr
Like that wondrous little burger stand in Hilo, that has the best burgers in all the world, AFAIAC.
Add some teriyaki to your ground beef, and some salt and pepper and whatever else you like, and you'll likely need to add some crushed crackers or bread crumbs to absorb some of the teriyaki sauce.
Then fry up the burger as you normally would.
Also, at the same time, fry up some onions into a very brown, carmalized beautiful fried onion orgy.
And, fry up one egg for every burger, over easy.
Serve the burger with the onion and egg on it, in abun, and add more teriyaki to it if you want, and/or a slice of farmer's cheese or feta or stilton (or bleu) cheese. You can also toss in a ring of pineapple. If you use the pineapple, don't use cheese.
