I think people see the outside of me and based on how I look or that I'm blessed to look a little younger (or so I'm told) that I'm just what they see which based on cultural stereotyping is generally not too bright or perhaps shallow. However, when people talk with me or get to know me, they learn quickly that that is not me.
As a young mother, it has often been assumed that I was somehow not capable of anything else. Again, not me.
I tend to be reserved with people at times and it's assumed I'm snobbish or aloof, but I just am very slow to warm up to people and find it hard to get close (with rare exceptions).
When I say, I don't know though, I really don't know how others view me. This is what I've come up with from different snippits of things I've been told over the years. I guess, though, I'm not a type, demographic, or anything else except who I am as an individual which isn't always so easily definable-even to myself. I know that in life, I feel as though I'm continually of a journey in some way and hopefully I bring something positive to the other lives that I touch and those that are intertwined with my own. :)
