OK, who remembers Jay Brown, Spartan Dodge & "The Price Slasher"
...and Brown's line about how "that little ol' guy is just a hackin' and a hewin' at those prices?"

Brown "hosted" weekend late night movies. I believe he got popped for some form of crooked deals...I'm not sure if Spartan Dodge is still in business. He looked a little like Zell Miller...kind of "lizard-like"...and talked in a (perhaps fake) heavy good ol' boy accent.

Yet another blast from somebody's San Francisco Bay Area past...
