Heading to Kauai for a couple a' weeks
Hubby's college roommate has a 700 acre pineapple orchard (among his 3 Kauai properties), and we get it, the chef, our choice of cars, and housekeeping while we are there.

Damn cool.

But as a borderline Socialist I have issues with the fact that he is able to 'own' so much.

He is TRUE new money. None of it has been gotten surreptitiously. He is just a damn smart guy. And quite nice.

Should I feel guilty? Right now I don't.

PS - he was was a billionaire before the tech crash, and now is a mere almost-billionaire.

2. Yes, you should be ashamed of yourself.
To take advantage of such luxury when you know it conflicts with your political beliefs is an act of high hypocrisy.

However, you can redeem your error by donating the two weeks to the Democracy In Danger fund. We will see to it that a deserving liberal with some faith in the capitalist system will enjoy the fruits of your husband's college roommate's (non?)labor.

5. Democracy in Danger Fund?
Hubby and I have determined ALL donations this year will be to poitical causes, is it for real, and what is it?

We are spreading our finances over a broad political swath.
