Boston DUers: some advice, please! |
|
I'm very happy to report that I'm going to be interning for an organization involved with the convention later this month! As excited and as happy as I am; I'm a little nervous about the cost. I'm going to be provided shelter for free, but I'm on my own for food. Neither my parents not I have ever been to Boston, but I do know that Boston is one of the most expensive cities in America.
My question is: about how much should I bring, per day, for food? (Taken into account the inevitable inflation of prices during the convention.) I have to eat all my meals out--there won't be a fridge, microwave, etc, where I'm staying. Also, do you have any recommendations for places to eat? (FYI, I keep kosher, but the restaurant doesn't necessarily have to be so.)
Thanks in advance! :bounce: :D

Dietary considerations? McDonalds or Prime Rib? Give us an idea of what you'd want to eat.

2. Coleman makes a plug-in cooler. |
|
It's around $60. Size of a standard ice chest. Plugs in to cigarette lighter with ac adaptor for in home use. Cools to about 40 degrees below ambient temp. If you want to keep some cold cuts, sandwich stuff, drinks in your room. I have one & it's very handy.
Otherwise, Chinese and Italian is pretty reasonable in Boston. And there are delis everywhere.
