8. Oh yeah
Today will be a challenge. I got a phone call from my boss last night. We have been trying to influence a government agency for months to get off their asses and do their job.

We got a phone call yesterday from the head of said agency. Can we meet today? No but I can spend today getting the presentation ready for tomorrow.

Tpmorrow We meet. We're going to play good cop/bad cop with them and I get to be the bad cop.

Without going into too much detail, heads will roll.

I love my job,
I love the pay,
I love it more and more each day.

3. Morning
I'm Grrreat. I'm working from home today. Excellent, I get to crank the music up ( except when those annoying people at work phone ), and generally not be hassled. I have all these little household chores to do though. Car in the Garage, Daughter to go for 8 month check up at Docs. Oh just been called my cars ready. Will be back in 30 mins if you are still around.

but I don't get the chance to wear my PJ's all day with trips to Nurserey etc :-)

You seem in an exceptionally good mood today, is it Edwards as VP, or something else that is making you even more bubbley than normal?

19. Don't be stressed
That is probably lousy advice, well empty anyway. I could do one of my snippets of story from here to make you feel better (in a other people are stressed too sort of way). I can not remember if I told you my wife has Post Natal Depression. Well anyway it has been getting much better recently, but every now and again it comes back again, and she doesn't remember what she has said and done afterwards. We had a big return this morning, when she was trying to go to work in her PJ's at 5 am! I was stressed at that point, but I'm just not letting it worry me now, 'cos if you let go of the stress it disappears. It helps my wife is she doesn't see how badly I take it too.

I do get to my own thing at home it is true, but the work I have to do is the same here as at work. All my calls are being forwarded too. The best bit is the music, and not having to travel.

23. She has ups and downs
The ups have been more and more frequent, but she hates that we can't afford for her not to work ( and she dislikes her job(teaching), which is going to get harder in September) , and that Alice is in Nursery, and that her best friend is moving to the Phillipines. All that is a lot for her to deal with, but the downs are much less frequent now, but when she gets what I can best describe as an attack, it is not pretty.

25. I'm OK
I just wish I could be open about the things that really worry me, like Peak Oil, Global Climate change etc, but I really don't want to be a doom and gloom merchant at the moment, and I think I may worry less when Kerry gets in. I think that's why I have the need to avoid all media while we're away.......

Oh I've cheered up already at the idea of the French Farmhouse with its own pool. I'll send you a photo when we get back.

37. Thanks hun

We're doing pretty good other than that. Her mood swings haven't really subsided yet, which has caused a few slightly uncomfortable moments, thanks to her paranoia. And she decided to tell me that there's a good chance she's going to go to grad school in Europe, which you might understand didn't thrill me. But that's still a long way off, so I guess we'll take things as they come as far as that goes. I'm trying not to think about that I guess. How are things with your man?

Anyway, the 4th was fun. Just hung out with the guys and watched fireworks from this rooftop across the street from the National Cathedral. By far the best view of Washington DC. We saw about 8 different counties' fireworks from up there. It's too bad it was really hazy out though, as the smoke kinda blurred out the main show. It was still pretty good though.

Ahh, I gotta get out the door to work. I'll talk to you from there! bye for now darlin!!

38. You're more than welcome!
Do you know why she's having the mood swings? Wait, we're women, we're allowed! :D Besides, everything isn't going to be perfect all the time so it's nice that you're working through things just fine. Um yeah, I can imagine that didn't make you happy at all. When would she be leaving if she does? Hey, at least that would give you an even better reason to go over there! :D I'm sure things will work out great for you two. You have my full support! Things with the man and I are pretty good. I think he's getting scared of his feelings right now though. It's like he's trying not to get too attached because he knows he's leaving soon, but at the same time, I think a part of his heart is already. Or at least, I'm hoping. :D It's hard to read him so I'm just taking things as they come I suppose.

That's awesome about the fireworks! People started them here on Friday and didn't stop until about 7AM on Monday morning. :eyes:

Hope you don't have to work too hard at work today!

45. yeah...
The mood swings are mostly from going back on birth control, but she says it's worse this time than before. She's also a bit manic, so that might be playing a role in all of it. Her mood swings still aren't as bad as some I've encountered, but like, she's just been acting exceptionally paranoid, and while I understand that's a part of what's going on, it feels like being called a liar to have her ask me the same questions repeatedly, ya know? But we are working through it and I appreciate your support hun. Anyway, she'd be going either next year or the year after. I know it's a long way off, but to be honest, I think it'd be a worst case scenario if we were still together at that point and she was going to Europe for 2 years. It's one thing to wait for someone when you're in your early 20s. If it doesn't work out, you're still young, ya know? Not to mention, I personally haven't seen anyone work out THAT long a distance. I wouldn't be able to see her more than like 3 times a year, and that's forgetting the fact that neither of us really have money to be travelling across the ocean every few months either. But, again, a lot of things can happen before that day comes, and maybe by that point she won't want to go to Europe.

I know it can be hard to read him, and you're probably right that it's hard for him to just let go. But I'm sure if he's fighting that hard, you probably have more than just a piece of his heart already. Otherwise, he wouldn't worry, you know? When does he go and where is he going? How long will he be gone?

Naw, I shouldn't be working too hard today, although I have to go woo a potential client tonight (which is never all that fun, but hey, it's a very nice, free meal, right?). I hope you have an awesome day too darlin!!

with the DJ/MC running the game. The topics are general trivia, but tend toward movies, TV, geography, history, sports.

If I actually ran, it would take about 90 mins to cover the roughly 13 miles.
