So has anyone bought "The Simpsons" season 3 DVD yet?

It was released yesterday and got it for 38 bucks (not bad for a 4 DVD set).

I didn't buy seasons one and 2 because frankly, the episodes within those sets are mediocre at best. However, this is the season where the show started to become the irreverent and socially conscious laugh-fest we fell in love with. Great episodes all around. Here is the list:

19 - Dog Of Death
20 - Colonel Homer
21 - Black Widower
22 - The Otto Show
23 - Bart's Friend Falls In Love
24 - Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes?j

I would hightly recommend this set to anyone with a sense of humor!

Along with "The Two Towers."

I have to take issue with your assessment of seasons one and two, though.

How can you not love episodes like:

Homer's Odyssey
Life on the Fast Lane
Krusty Gets Busted
Simpson and Delilah
Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes on Every Fish
Itchy & Scratchy & Marge
One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish
Homer Vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment

I've already purchased Seasons 1 & 2, and I can't wait to add Season 3 to my collection!
