Four Buffy/Angel TV movies planned?
Appearing on the Australian television show Rove Live, Buffy and Angel star James Marsters revealed he had been approached by Joss Whedon to star in at least one of four television movies set in the Buffyverse.

Marsters did not provide any detail on the movies other than that each would focus on one particular character, and that either all four would be made or none at all. As far as Marsters was aware, only he has comitted to the project so far.

1. Hm... let's see...
Whedon wants each movie to focus on a particular character. Gellar doesn't want to keep playing Buffy, so that's out. Boreanaz has expressed some interest in the big screen, but he hasn't seemed too keen on TV. Eliza Dushku has her own series, Aly Hannigan's gonna be making "American Pie" movies until she's 50, Tony Head's back in England. So....

Okay, there's a Spike movie. Fine. That could work. In addition, I give to you:

"The Passion of the Xander" -- a story about a small town carpenter who is, ultimately, everybody's butt monkey.
"Dawn Summers: Girl Watcher" -- possibly to be retitled "Get out get out GET OUT!"
"Kansas Is Really Fucking Boring (The Story of Riley Finn)"

I'm as big a Buffy fan as anybody. That said, I'm not so sure this is a good idea.

2. I always wished that they had made a Oz spin-off, but that's just me
Maybe they could get Seth for one movie? That would be interesting.

3. Gellar may not want to keep playing buffy-
But I'll bet that she wants to continue drawing a paycheck- if the money's right, she'll do it.

I thought that Marsters and the Spike charqcter was about the best part of the show...too bad they dumped Drucilla(sp?)

5. I bet it all would depend on how well SMG's new move "The Grudge" does
Cause she sure isn't lighting up the charts with her other films. Give her another year or so of mediocre films and she'll be dying to play Buffy again.

4. Angel needs to be wrapped up
The series finale had Angel and the crew facing a dragon and an army of demons following the killing of chief demons agents of the Wolf, the Ram and the Hart. Angel gave up his chance for humanity under the prophecy but Spike still qualifies. The series needs a proper conclusion.

I also like Seth Green and a werewolf series could be interesting.
