How soon until TV starts broadcasting "The Running Man" reality show? |
|
I mean, that's the next step in line - reality shows where the audience tells the fate of 'convicted criminals'. Richard Dawson is still alive he could host the show (BTW, I loved Dawson in that movie).
I'm the first to admit that I watch a few reality shows but I've never evolved past Real World and Survivor. But now our entire televison is just packed with nothing but reality shows. It won't end until we get "The Running Man" on TV. How soon do you think that will happen

1. They'll skip "Running Man" and go right for "$la$hers" |
|
The plot of that film takes place in a reality show where contestants are put in a warehouse made up like a haunted house with a few serial killers inside to hunt down the players.

Where people are drafted by a lottery to be in a reality television show. The goal is to kill the other players. If you survive, you have to go on to the next season, so there really isn't a way out.

3. I was thinking about that a few days ago. |
|
I wonder if they'll also broadcast "Climbing for Dollars"

4. Remember, we are a "kinder and gentler" Totaliitarian Tyranny |
|
called "Managed Democracy".
And our entertainments will be "kinder and gentler", too.
As a result, I would place "The Running Man" or a suitably acceptable variant with different actual details (whatever it will be) during the reign of Nero or Caligula Bush sometime after 2030.
More closely, I believe COPS will begin covering "embedded brutality" of the Miami model with an eye towards entertainment value..
Hell, that might even be in store for September in NYC!
