Internet Poker question... |
|
I must confess that I am hooked on the World Series of Poker that plays (almost) constantly on ESPN, and I know that Bartcop is a card shark....My question is this....Are there any DU'ers that can point me in the direction of some good (reputable/legal) poker sites on the web?
As a side note, I thought that internet gambling was illegal, so....how do you have poker sites on the web????
Thanks....

US laws can't govern what happens in foreign countries. They set up shop just off shore. The Internet's a wonderful place!

The reason you can get away with gambling online is because the actual servers are located offshore.
UltimateBet.com (great) PokerStars.com (not my first choice) Jetsetpoker.com (ok)
Try UB, ultimatebet. You can play free chips for a while until you get the feel for it. Holdem, Omaha, Stud, and Triple Draw.
