Whats your favorite quote from a "Western"?
Mine is, "Law don't go round here law dog. Savvy?" in 'Tombstone' with Kurt Russel. Which btw is ten times better then 'Wyatt Earp' with Kevin Costner.

Val Kilmer kicked ass in Tombstone!

15. Another Kilmer gem from "Tombstone"...
"Why Ringo...you look like someone just stepped 'cross your grave."
(That line put the fear of God into Powers Boothe's Ringo)

17. John Wayne to Montgomery Clift in 'Red River'...
"Cherry was right. You're soft, you should have let 'em kill me, 'cause I'm gonna kill you. I'll catch up with ya. I don't know when, but I'll catch up. Every time you turn around, expect to see me, 'cause one time you'll turn around and I'll be there. I'm gonna kill ya, Matt."

The best line from the best Western.

18. from Outlaw Jose Wales:
I came here to die with you. Or live with you. Dying ain't so hard for men like you and me, it's living that's hard; when all you ever cared about has been butchered or raped. Governments don't live together, people live together. With governments you don't always get a fair word or a fair fight. Well I've come here to give you either one, or get either one from you. I came here like this so you'll know my word of death is true. And that my word of life is then true. The bear lives here, the wolf, the antelope, the Comanche. And so will we. Now, we'll only hunt what we need to live on, same as the Comanche does. And every spring when the grass turns green and the Comanche moves north, he can rest here in peace, butcher some of our cattle and jerk beef for the journey. The sign of the Comanche, that will be on our lodge. That's my word of life.

19. There comes a time you have to turn mother's picture to the wall
and run...

From the Magnificent Seven...other great lines in that:

Wallach (as the Mexican bandit chief): New walls! They won't keep me out.
Yul Brynner: They were built to keep you in.

Wallach: Can men in our line of work afford to worry about them? It may even be sacriligeous. After all, if God did not mean them to be sheared, He would not have made them sheep.

Steve McQueen: You get elected?
Brynner: No, but I got nominated real good.

21. Oh Doc
DOC
Why Ed, what an ugly thing to
Say! Does this mean you're not my
Friend anymore? You know, Ed, if
I thought you weren't my friend I
Don't think I could bear it.

Now a Cheshire cat smile we will soon come to know very well
steals over Doc's face as he takes out his nickel-plated .38
Colt Lightning and .45 Peacemaker and lays them on the table.

DOC
There, now we can be friends
Again. But remember, Ed,
Friendship is trust-so please
Don't hurt me.
