I FINALLY GOT A JOB INTERVIEW!
Whooooooooooooo! It's tomorrow at 4. I'm excited. Now I can make money!

The only problem with that is that it's at a Taco Bell.  I hope I don't get assaulted with a chalupa.

1. Congrats!
Hey, it's a job, right? Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Fingers crossed for you! (Duck the chalupas!)

3. Congratulations!!
Good luck with the interview, hope you get the job. Jobs are tough to come by. I probably wouldn't mention vampires in the interview though. :)

5. Advice from a guy who has conducted hundreds of job interviews...
Edited on Wed Jul-07-04 03:46 PM by southpaw
Try not to be nervous. It sounds as if you have been in the market for a while, so being nervous is almost inevitable. Channel it into a constructive anticipation.

Put your best foot forward, but don't put on a fake personality. It is possible to act appropriately for an interview without becoming someone else.

A firm handshake is always appropriate, even if the interviewer is a woman. A firm, confident handshake makes a good impression. (Note: firm, but not too much so. No one is impressed by a person who tries to wow them with a kung-fu grip.)

Between now and the interview, do some affirmations ("I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggoneit, people like me")

Good luck, bro!

11. I've been in the market for two months.
And this is only my second interview in that same amount of time.

I'll take your advice. Thanks. :hi:

8. Study the Taco Bell website
It is always important to know your potential new company. Really. I worked in fast food for a while. The thing that new hires really need to know from the beginning is their product. Know the names of all of the items and what the difference is between them. A smart manager will know how important that is. It is important that the customer gets the right food the first time.
