Does anyone know of a wireless SVideo transmitter/receiver?
I have my DVD player on one side of the house and my LCD projector all the way on the other side. I've found lots of regular RCA transmitters, but no SVideo ones (that transmit and receive the SVideo with an SVideo in and SVideo out). I don't want to comprimise the picture quality of my projection, but I also don't want to keep the damned 50' cable I have now running across the house.

Any tips would be appreciated!

1. How do you run 50' of wire without Y/C shift?
Sometimes we can get away with it, but a lot of times the colour shifts from the luminance...

And no, I'm not aware of any units that transmit/receive S-Video.
Now, if you have a set of RGB spigots, I could set you up for about 5 grand....

3. It might be just shy of 50', but
The color looks fine.

Heh heh on th $5K. I guess it's gonna be tearing open the wall and burying the cable.

Doh!

I adore our setup which just happens to work out allowing me to project about the same size as a small art house screen and the resolution is good too. It's gotta be totally dark for the 750 lumen projector, but it's worth it. Fluke of house geometry, vaulted ceilings, white walls and a cinephile. I couldn't be luckier. ;)

Now if I could just get rid of the damned cable.

2. Sorry, but I believe SVideo is only 480i
that may degrade a dvd image to a projector.

4. I have it set up with SVideo now
It may be degraded from what could be possible, but it still looks good enough for me.

Always looking to improve though!

5. my $0.02
a guy i know has done something similar - home video feed over radio freq.

now i dont know if it is Svideo, but i do know this: the RF picture is noticeably degraded compared to a cabled feed.

its like crisp dvd (cables) vs lo-fi, lo-speed VHS (RF)
