4. reverse lookup is an option in most phone index sites |
|
dexonline has it, for example. Google "reverse lookup" and see what you get.

|
ive found out that the area code is out of phoenix AZ (602), which is weird, cause im in south dakota... and my grandparents spend winters in AZ but they are in SD right now, and they dont have a cell phone that they registered in that area. anyone know if 357 is a cellphone prefix out of phoenix?

8. Could be a cell phone, or unlisted, or a business number |
|
I have two land lines into my home, and only my "main" number will give my name. The other name just says "registered to Verizon" when I do an RNL on that number with the link I gave you up above.
So it could also be from a home that has a couple different lines, or perhaps even a multi-line business number.
What's the message you get when you try an RNL?

The phone number "(602) 357-****" is a Phoenix, AZ based phone number and the registered carrier is Global Crossing Local Servcies, Inc.-az. Additional information for this number is not available. Please read our Search Tips below for more information.
i looked under the aditional tips, and it just said the stuff like cell phones unlisted, ect. i put the asteriks in myself, since i dont know who it belongs to im not gonna post it just in case.

14. I'd try the others' suggestions - just do a blind google search |
|
and see if it pops up anything.
At this point, there's no getting the information, other than calling the number and asking why they keep calling you.

10. I think google has a reverse-lookup feature |
|
Just type the number in and see what comes up. (But, if it's a cell or unlisted, it won't help, unless the number's also posted on a Web page.)

12. Did you try googling the number? |
|
Sometimes it will show up in a regular google search.
I'm seeing both business and cell numbers with that prefix on a general google search of "602-357"

13. one other thing you can do is try googling the number |
|
you'd be surprised how many people's numbers are on the net (posted resumes, advertisements/classifieds, etc.)

Just typing the phone number in, generally gives me the name. That apparently applies only if there's a web reference, which is almost always the case. But I'll bookmark the other sources mentioned on this thread.

18. Try this. click on reverse phone |
|
www.whitepages.com
The best it can do is name and address. the worst is tell you the city the call is from and the phone carrier. I use it on telemarketers whose ID changes with each call but the number is the same on caller-ID.

19. Get a pre-paid calling card, call te # back and ask who they are. |
|
Your # won't show up on any caller id they have because the calling card's router # does instead.

20. I had a 602 number call me last week! |
|
I reversed it and found out it was attached to the same carrier you mentioned. Finally out of curiosity I called it back and found out it was a call center. They called back the next day and it was Dell doing a survey about my new computer. What a bummer...I thought it was someone important.
