Rest In Peace, Bradley Nowell
I know it's old news, and he's been dead for years....

But I was listening to his songs today, and it struck me what a shame it is. His star was just starting to rise, and he missed out on so much.

I never really heard much of Sublime's music until after he had died.

Sorry to bring up sad stuff, it was just on my mind.

Heyo

1. Nowell
I used to be on the same baseball team as his stepbrother.

It's too bad that his legacy is more drug overdoses. Instead of learning from his mistakes, his fans only seem to continue to abuse harmful drugs. I feel it's their right to do so, but it's still tragic that few learned from his death.

Excellent songwriter.

3. Yeah...
It's a double tragedy that instead of being remembered as a great songwriter he is remember by some (not me) as another rock star who died of a heroin overdose.

At least he acknowledged it while he was alive, and tried and tried but just couldn't beat it. At least he saw what was happening and wasn't deluded. He just couldn't stop it.

Such a shame though.

Heyo

2. I knew him... a close friend's band was the band that opened
for Sublime many times..I was up at the Phoenix for the show the day he was found dead.
It was truly a shock and a loss...I'll never forget that day..he was a good guy

4. A legend
I never heard of him until he died and their album came out. It blew me away. In my 20+ years only 3 albums made me feel that way: Nevermind, Sublime and Whitey Ford Sings The Blues
