1. I care very much
Even though I live in the US, I am a big fan of cycling. Unfortunately, my cable package does not include the Outdoor Life Network, so I am forced to listen to the webcast on the internet. Following live cycling via audio is not very illuminating, but I am desperate for live action.

2. glued to my set
Well, maybe no one else cares, but I'm glued to OLN every morning. Plays havoc with my productivity around the house though.

4. As the one guy said, the Blue Train hauled the mail today. :)
Sorry, I am a bike race fan, which came from when I lived in Boulder, watching the Coors Classic.

This version of USPS team is totally dominant. Will Lance try and hang on to the yellow, or ease the pressure and let someone else have it for a few stages?

This sport is just so beautifully brutal and human. Once you learn all the ins and outs, the strategies, etc. you see, as Cheryl Crowe said today, a ballet. Amazing!

5. I'm lost.

Did Lance take the lead today? How many days left?

(I've been working my butt off all day. I've barely had time to read posts much less read about sports, but I've responded to some idiot posts about "They hate for our freedoms" BS on another site. I couldn't let those get by unanswered.)

6. Yes, he did in the General Classification.
For those who are new to the sport, the overall race leader wears the "Maillot Jaune," or yellow jersey. There are other classes, such as best team, points leader, leading rookie, ect. However, at the end of the 23 stages, the one person with the overall best time is the big kahuna. Lance has done this five times in a row, like the great riders such as Miguel Indurain)sp?). However, no one has ever won this thing six times in a row.

Today was the team time trial (see my post above), where teams went off together and worked as a precision unit to score the best time. Each member of the team takes the lead role, then drops back in a sort of leap frog fashion.

Go to any cycling publication that explains the ins and out of this stuff, because it is a tremendous lesson in human interaction.
