Yes, it annoyed me too as a child, but I now think it brilliant advice. On the rare occasions that I am bored, I read something, anything, and am immediately entertained for hours.

10. too busy a day to be bored but my feet are really sore

I went to an amusement park and on lots of rides with my son. We went on all the water rides, he was very intrepid. When I am bored, I always tell myself I am not really looking at things and there might be something I am missing. Just my little musing.
