Average person = 50 diamonds...who knew
There was a real estate story on today with a twist. Apparently, Vancouver, where I live, not only has the highest real estate prices in Canada, we also have the highest grave prices. (Directly related to the price of land.)

75% of people in Vancouver opt for cremation. (Believe me, I am coming to a point related to the subject.) The question is, what do you do with the ashes. There is a new option. You can extract the carbon from the ashes and form them into man-made (but real) diamonds.

Can anyone imagine wearing a loved-one in a ring? I think that it's pretty creepy myself.

1. Sure,
You can also mix in ashes and make pendants, ear rings ect... also anything made with molten material, you can mix the ashes right in there. I don't remember the details, but I've read of a comic book artist who had his ashes mixed with printing ink and made into a special edition comic.

Me, fireworks.
