I picked Edwards - Now I'll pick the Kerry Cabinet = Play along
Try your hand at picking the Administration that will take BACK the GAWDDAMNED WHITE HOUSE in 2005!!!

Here are my picks. Some for real, some playful. Have some fun with it. Especially with the new kid on the block; the union bustin'g, overly expensive Department on Homeland Security.

• The President - John Kerry
• The Vice President - John Edwards
• Secretary of State - Wesley Clark
• Secretary of the Treasury - Paul Krugman
• Secretary of Defense - Bob Graham
• Attorney General - Elliott Spitzer
• Secretary of the Interior - Russell Means
• Secretary of Agriculture - Peter Piper
• Secretary of Commerce - Dennis Kucinich
• Secretary of Labor - Dick Gephardt
• Secretary of Health and Human Services - Gavin Newsom
• Secretary of Housing and Urban Development - Jesse Jackson Jr
• Secretary of Transportation - Greg Lamonde
• Secretary of Energy - Dennis Weaver
• Secretary of Education Sheila Jackson-Lee
• Secretary of Veterans Affairs - Max Cleland
• Secretary of Homeland Security - Buzz Lightyear

1. LOL!
Secretary of Homeland Security - Buzz Lightyear

Actually, I'd feel a lot safer with Buzz than I do with Ridge! :P

2. Greg LeMonde
Sec. of Transportation
At least he would push more environmentally friendly transportation such as the bikes he makes.

3. Sec of Ag? does he pick a peck of pickled peppers?

It's a good list, (except the joke names :) )but does remove a lot of Democratic Senators.

Controlling congress is more important than even the Presidency in my opinion.

4. Sec Trans... Tommy Thompson I'm serious! Quit laughing!
First, It gives the appearance of bipartisanship, Second, It's be the jumpstart our passenger rail system (such as it is) has been looking for, thirdly, it'll royally piss off the airline industry, Fourthly, It keeps him the fuck out of Wisconsin.

7. Attorney General - Elliott Spitzer is right on
Man there would be so many trials and convictions of corporate criminals that we would have to free up some jail space of those non-violent drug offenders.

Fun picks:
Secretary of Homeland Security - Spider-Man
Secretary of Film-making - Michael Moore
Secretary of Peace - Dennis Kucinich

I love the idea of Kerry and Edwards filling out the cabinet before hand. Have them hit the ground running, because there will be a lot to clean up once they get in.

Sonia

9. Howard Dean at HHS.
Howard Dean, as a once practicing physician, would be a perfect Secretary of Health and Human Services. He could be the point man on health care reform.

10. GREAT choices except or SJL
Anyone who thinks we planted the US flag on Mars ought not to be the Sec of Ed. She has a reputation on the Hill of being one of the 5 dumbest members of the House. How about Jesse Jackson Sr (if he'd have the job)? I think he'd be a STRONG supporter of public schools and of equaling out the playing field (i.e., proposing better taxation methods for funding public schools evenly).

11. What a new Clinton cabinet would look like
George Clinton, that is.

Lyrics of CHOCOLATE CITY

"And when they come to march on ya
Tell 'em to make sure they got their James Brown pass
And don't be surprised if Ali is in the White House
Reverend Ike, Secretary of the Treasure
Richard Pryor, Minister of Education
Stevie Wonder, Secretary of FINE arts
And Miss Aretha Franklin, the First Lady
Are you out there, CC?
A chocolate city is no dream
It's my piece of the rock and I dig you, CC
God bless Chocolate City and its (gainin' on ya!) vanilla suburbs
Can y'all get to that?
Gainin' on ya!
Gainin' on ya!
Easin' in
Gainin' on ya!
In yo' stuff
Gainin' on ya!
Huh, can't get enough
Gainin' on ya!
Gainin' on ya!
Be mo' funk, be mo' funk
Gainin' on ya!
Can we funk you too
Gainin' on ya!
Right on, chocolate city!"
