saw the sweetest little family this morning |
|
One of the ferals we feed -- we call her Ringtail -- and her three kittens: one black, one ginger, one tortoiseshell. Ringtail's a tortie, too. We call her "Ringtail" because about an inch from the end of her tail she has a bright white ring. That and a front paw is all the white that's on her.
It's hard for me to accept that cats can live wild. We plan to trap/neuter/return them to stop breeding. But they can get hit by a car, or get in trouble w/ other wild critters, or some neighbor might take exception to wild cats. But this is all I can do. We already have six indoor cats.
We also feed Domino (tuxedo) and Charley (brown/tan tabby). There's a sign on our house, visible only to cats: "soft-hearted women live here."

4. I plan to try, Archae. |

I can probably get some of Ringtail out on the porch -- can shoot her through the window. It'll be harder to get the kittens, but I'm going to try!
