http://youthfulrhetoric.blogspot.comI am proud to unveil, in conjunction with a few random Internet strangers, The Youthful Rhetoric Collective. It's up and running right now, but it's still a bit skeletal (we lack an introduction and all that).
The Youthful Rhetoric Collective is based on the realization that many of us fancied ourselves poets, essayists, or The Next Stephen King, when we were younger. Digging out those old manuscripts and journals, however, made us realize that we can be best described as Good For Our Age. Or even not-so-good-for-any-age.
So, we decided to start up an online forum for those writings that we swore we'd try to get published somewhere, then either tucked away in a manilla folder marked "tax returns," or submitted to the school literary magazine to varying degrees of success. This is proof that anyone -- even a generic Id -- can publish anything on the Internet.
Go ahead, take a look. Some of our contributors use pen names (you'll notice I don't -- I post my dreck for the world to see, like the Internet attention whore I am).
And some of this is truly awful, but we might find a glimmer of genius in there eventually. Maybe.
