12. A fly! Maybe the cook used to be a tailor.
Now that's a twist. Usually the pickle is in the fly. Sorry. It had to be said.

3. what were you eating, and where did you get it?
my condolences

once I got eggs at the cafeteria at college . . . there was a bee in them . . . the cook said, "Oh, I'm so glad it happened to you!" (ostensibly because he knew I'd be nice about it)

5. it was embedded in my pickLe
that sounds funny. i usuaLLy go to a corner store that makes great (and more importantLy, cheap) sandwiches for Lunch. they give you a 1/4 pickLe with you sandwich.

i was chomping away on the pickLe and noticed a 'speck' that didn't Look Like a crumb or potato chip and such.. and as i Looked at i thought i saw a wing sticking out of the pickLe. so i dug the rest of it out of my pickLe.

i ate some more of my sandwich but i'm now i'm just sitting here staring at it. i guess i'LL throw it out.

9. 20/20 had a show on one time about maggots
Food manufacturers are allowed to leave in so many maggots/bug eggs and bugs in their food processing.

I remember mushrooms in a can had the most maggots out of all of the food processing :puke:. I don't buy mushrooms in a can any longer after watching 20/20.

16. I remember once...
I was eating at a restaurant and while eating my spinach salad I found a little green worm walking across a leaf of spinach. I just pulled the little bugger out of my salad and threw him on the ground. I didn't die. A little bug won't kill ya.

18. simiLar experience
one day my better haLf and i went out to breakfast. i got the fuLL pLate (eggs, 16 kinds of pork, fries toast, etc) and ms. sniffa got an engLish muffin.

she asked for jeLLy and got a packet (the kind they usuaLLy give you in a restaurant). she opened it and began spreading it on her muffin and she noticed the jeLLy moving. sure enough there were a few worms in the jeLLy.

so she gave a haLf-assed shreek which the waitresses ignored. when our waitress came over and saw her moving jeLLy, she apoLogized... and they proceeded to scrape the jeLLy off the muffin (into a napkin or cLoth) and handed her another packet.

mmmmmm
