but to answer your question . . .

She probably wasn't/isn't ready to talk about it yet.

Sometimes when I get emotional about something, I'm a jumble of confusion. Not sure why I'm mad, or what I should do about it, or just too upset to face it (kind of like denial in the face of upheaval).

A few hours later, after sorting through and making sense and adjusting to things, then I might feel like talking about it.

Just try translating "Nothing's Wrong" to "I'm not up to talking about it now; maybe later, OK?" then leave her alone for a while.
