Why people hate yuppies - while driving down a congested street |
this afternoon, trying to get all our errands done, a big, red Range Rover had stopped in the middle of the street, totally blocking traffic - with the passenger door swinging open. As we are nice, quiet types so we pulled up behind it and waited quietly for about 10 seconds. In the meantime more cars pulled up behind us and waited, too. Slowly a 30-something yuppie disembarked and took her sweet time closing the door. Then she stood there for another 10 or 15 seconds saying good bye to the driver while casting a disdainful glance down at the row of patiently waiting cars at this point. Slowly, she crossed behind the Rover and strolled into her yuppie abode (brownstone) -no embarrassment, no wave of "sorry folks" just nothing - like she hadn't just inconvenienced a whole bunch of people. How does someone wind up like this? 'Doted on all her life by adoring parents, little princess can do no wrong, etc? Yuck!

2. People of all types do this... |
It's more a basic sense of incivility. I think they learn it from the repukes and DINOs...
