UPS just announced a package I had to have tomorrow officially "lost". This one arrived late on a train to Illinois, and just disappeared. Osama or Dick are wearing my shirt in their secret undisclosed locations.
This is the second time in as many orders that UPS has Cheneyed up. The first time I had to pick up the order at their offices because they put it on the wrong (&*&++*(@# truck.
Brown is appropriate. Their service is turdly.

1. FedEx beats the crap out of UPS or USPS |
|
I had been shipping a lot of packages through UPS or USPS but then I discovered a FedEx shipping office right near my home.
Much cheaper, faster, and more reliable plus I can keep track of all my shipments on my own account on the Web. I can also print my own labels and just drop 'em off at the counter w/o any waiting.
I assumed FedEx would have been more expensive but if you ship Ground or Residential UPS or USPS can't touch the FedEx price. The only thing USPS is good for (price wise) is very small packages or media (books, tapes, etc.). UPS is good for nothing.

6. Their package handling is sub par |
|
I constantly get packages that look like they played soccer with it in the warehouse. You really need to pack stuff well if you ship UPS ground because they don't respect "Fragile" and will toss it around.

We had one package stolen off our porch in 4 years and now we have to go pick every package up at the warehouse. Whether it needs to be signed for or not. There is no appeal. It's forever. End of story.
I HATE UPS.

I paid an extra 4 bucks to get two-day delivery, expecting them to deliver on weekends. Did I get my package in two days? NO! It's bad enough it wasn't two days, but they failed to do it in two business days! I recieved my package 6 days after it was shipped. FUCKING RIDICULOUS.
