I had one girlfriend in my life, and she dumped me on Valentine's Day 2003. I've never been sucessful with women (I don't know how to communicate well with them and I get way too shy and underconfident), and I'm still a virgin approaching the age of 22.
I feel bad too...

that might work for you.
Stop putting pressure on yourself.
Dont approach women with the expectation that you have to have develop a relationship or impress them or 'communicate' - whatever that means.
If it means anything, it's not until there is some kind of emotional bond that needs nurturing and maintenance.
So just relax a bit and talk about what interests you or what interests them or just listen. If nothing else, having a male who actually listens will shock them and make you a bit unique.

It just seems to me that there have been an awful high amount of breakups in summer...not just on DU.

in addition to mine, ive seen alot of threads in the lounge, and one of my friends is going through one now... or at least the early stages of one, its gonna become one and i dont know how to or if i should even tell her. it would kill her i think.
this summer is shaping up to suck major ass.
