But they always do. Not going to Europe but coming to Maine so I said they must be going to Europe if they are not coming to Maine.I did read that Bar Harbor had many empty rooms over the 4th.I would also say that Air lines are down as they are asking for govt. to back their loans yet no one tells us travel to Europe is down. Guess that would be bad for Air line business.

Travel to Europe IS probably down from say 1999 or 2001 (Becasue of the exchange rate), but is probably up from 2002. May be people just don't wanna go to Maine...we have had TONS of tourists in DC. Hotel rooms that are regularly $150-200 a night are going for $400-600 for business travelers.
