2. Problem with #1-Jeremy Giambi was safe |
|
If you weren't watching it live and saw the replays (which will NEVER be seen again in this hemisphere) you missed it, just like Posada did.
Carver and Buck were wetting themselves over Jeter (Joe Morgan later pointed out that he was out of position) and the shot from down the first base line popped up....dead silence........
Giambi was safe, sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

4. No he stepped over the tag |
|
Posada didn't tag him until his foot ws clearly on the plate. Posada got him on the butt not anywhere on the right leg, the replay clearly showed it. If he had slid he would have slid right into Jorge "please don't kick my a** again" Posada's tag.

9. Oh, so that's why there was a big argument |
|
Jeremy Giambi jumping up-and-down screaming, "he never touched me!"
Didn't happen, Underpants. Nobody said a word. The tag was made (the replay is shown at least 10 times year) and Giambi was out.

10. What are you talking about? |
|
That highlight gets shown constantly, and I don't know why you think Giambi was safe; he probably would have been if he had slid, but Posada clearly tagged him right as his foot came down--he was out by a smidgen.
Also, you're wrong that Jeter was out of position; on that play, the 1st basemen goes down the right field line, the 2nd baseman covers 2nd and the shortstop is simply a backup; and that's what Jeter did--he backed up Tino Martinez and intercepted the throw that went over Tino's head. It was a play that they had actually practiced a lot during Spring Training.
It was a great play--plain and simple.

11. I don't hate Derek Jeter because of his clutch plays |
|
I hate him for another list. Google "I probably banged Derek Jeter" + ammiannoying.com . And add Vanessa Minillo and Jessica Alba to that list. With the fact that he represents the Yankees.
