DISCLAIMER- this is in NO WAY a sexism thread. If Meg White were a man, he'd suck just as bad on the drums.

1. No way she's the worst drummer in America........... |

because that honor would be mine. I am totally lost behind a kit.

4/4 time, roughly 120 bpm:
ride & kick, ride & snare, ride & kick, ride & snare, repeat ad infinitum.

5. I know that beat...... |
|
that's about the only one I can do. I guess what I should have said is that I can keep a beat, but can't do fills for shit.

3. She can keep a beat, and she's a very sweet person. |
|
Kinda reminds me of Mo Tucker. Of course, Jack is no Lou Reed.... :P

4. Oh she definitely seems genuine |
|
To her credit. I like the White Stripes, it's just that, well, her drumming leaves a bit to be desired.

6. Oh, she's not a "good drummer" by any commonly-accepted definition... |
|
...but she's better than some. Plus, I give props to ANYONE in a profitable (i.e. they can afford more stuff) band who plays: kick, snare, rack tom, floor tom, hi-hat, crash, ride. Not a hundred Sabians arrayed in some SETI field setup, not a Neil Peart speed tom rack, just a four-piece. Nice.
She can keep time, and that is SORELY lacking in many of today's drummers.
And what's with the Ringo dig? Talk about an underrated drummer. He wasn't flashy like Moon, but then again, Moon couldn't keep rhythm (thank God for John Entwhistle). Ringo played like a human metronome, and when he wanted to (check out "Ticket to Ride"), he could really stand out as a drummer.
