4. here, maybe this will help
Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-do
I have a perfect puzzle for you
Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-dee
If you are wise, you'll listen to me

What do you get when you treat people well?
As if what they do is consciously swell?
With a little luck they'll return the good vibes?
and we might just live more fulfilling lives?

At least that's how I think of it

Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-da
If you're not greedy, you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee-do

you just let me know and I'll tell ya "Violet, you're turning violet, Violet."

Every day is just a little better if there's a Willy Wonka reference in it. :)

5. I think that it is important to protect the traditional definition of...
beer. Water, hops and malt! We must restore the purity of our precious bachanal fluids. I urge that we pass an amendment to our constitution that will enforce the beer purity law of 1516 in our country and make violation of the law punishable by death.

13. Are they seriously trying to get that thing passed?
I don't watch much news now-a-days. Maybe I should turn on the tube now and then. Don't they have to get some Dems on board to pass the amendment? I guess it's time for a letter writing campaign.

15. I don't think they expect to get it passed...
they're just using it as a campaign ploy. They want to get people on the record about it so they can try to hammer then on their vote later.

19. Because it shouldn't even be a debate...
Edited on Fri Jul-09-04 12:29 PM by Heyo
Marriage should be handled by the churches or whataver other entity... and the government should stay out of it... the government should provide legal civil unions to any two people who seek to have one.

And there definitely shouldn't be an amendment regarding marriage in the Constitution.

Heyo

21. Not just "any two people"...
I have lots of polyamorous friends and I'm a firm believer that if 3 or 4 or more people all love each other and are capable or giving informed consent and want to get married they should be allowed to do it.

if a man and a woman were both equally able to take as many husbands and wives as they wish (alla Dr. Flox on Enterprise), that wouldn't be a problem to me at all.

27. See I don't agree with you there...
Once you do that, why not 100 people?... why not thousands or a whole big group.. what if all the Scientologists wanted a civil union...?

I think it should be for 2 people.... but that's just my opinion..

Heyo

usually the first one is to get rid of all the homophobes. Here in Texas that would make for quite and easy commute. :D
