Odd Question: Have any of you ever been clinically dead? |
|
I haven't, but I'm just curious if anyone has. I have no idea what made me think of this topic. What's it like?

don't know what it was like as I was anesthetized, which caused my heart to stop for a little while.

2. Yep. Years ago. As a teenager. |
|
I don't discuss it much, but it definitely had an impact.

I rarely come across people who have had an NDE.

3. I've had two NDE's (near death experiences) |
|
They were not prolonged experiences.
One where I was about to be murdered went up the tunnel of light , heard a voice that said, "this is a stupid way to die." I thought, "you're right," My spirit guides are very blunt with me. So I pulled a "U-ey" re-entered my body and kicked the guy in the "cahgingies."
The other time was due to excessive blood loss and went again up the tunnel of light and wondered, "but who will care for my son. . .?" At which point my son grabbed my ankle triggering a critical acupressure point and brought me back to my body. He was 18 months old at the time.
So I never got far into it enough to see the dead relatives or anything.

4. Very interesting stories, thanks! |
|
Sorry, but I am actually one of those poor saps who believes in an afterlife, so I don't think that "the light" is just some neurochemical reaction to trauma.
Come to think of it, maybe this thread belongs in the Meeting Room...

5. Why do you call yourself a poor sap? |
|
I believe 100% in an afterlife, and I don't feel bad about it.

Get the short end of the stick in threads. I don't know, maybe I just have a small case of persecution complex today.

7. Well, we do get the short end of the stick |
|
The way I look at it is...if you believe in the afterlife and there is one, then you are good to go. If you don't believe in it and there is one, then that would suck when you are freaked out after you die. And if you believe in one and there isn't one, you'll never know. I guess that I have gotten the "short end of the stick" since I was a little kid, and I don't care what people think of me. I'm not a religious nut or anything, I just believe in more than this life and i believe in reincarnation. I don't try to push my beliefs on anyone, their beliefs are their bag. I also don't feel the need to "prove" shit to anyone...
