Etiquette Question: What is the appropriate attire for
a guest a at groom's/rehearsal dinner?

The couple are early 20s, like my wife and I. The dinner is at a grill and bar. What can I get away with?

1. jacket and tie and dress
slacks. Doesn't need to be a full suit.

2. hahaha! no, seriously. hahahahahah!
The BEST I'd be able to come up with would be dockers and a button down shirt.

4. You could do that at a grill and bar just fine.
I'm 27 and can tell you that would be perfectly appropriate for that atmosphere. NO JEANS.

3. Agreed
Khakis with a sport coat and tie, but it depends on what your position in the wedding is. I've been in a hot reception area, ans as a young groomsman was able to get away with khakis and a button down shirt.
