always remember to keep your sock pairs together after wearing them. Otherwise, they will never be a pair again, and it could somehow affect your pairing.
Just a small bit of wisdom from an old sock-bitcher.
Hey, honey! Where's my other sock!!!!!!!!!!
That will likely be the most important thing to remember about your cohabitation.
Best of luck!

4. My son's bug is finally gone |
|
Poor Mr Pickles had a bad bout earlier in the week, but is now fine! And I was switched to the History list from Social Work and Counseling, which is good because the books are bigger and more complex (and therefore more fun and higher profile).

5. I hope your son's bug wasn't a bookworm! |
|
Oh, that can be strenuous!
What's this about history? Are you planning on rewriting it like everyone else does these days?

8. No but he does burrow through books :-) |

I work for a college textbook publisher (I manage the actual production of textbooks: designs, page layout, covers, etc.) and we in the department are aligned with a specific discipline. We all got shuffled around due to some staff departures, and I got to go up the totem pole to History.
Believe me, I do what I can to make sure politics stays out of these texts (the copy editor strikes again!), though that's really not a worry as I see little to none. Now if only I could do something with the Poli Sci authors and team!

Find out when the Poli Sci authors and team take their breaks, and let me know!
I have an idea!
Good luck with the position. It sounds interesting! (I mean that BTW) I love history.

I do love my work, and I have a job worth caring about, luckily. Our History titles in general are yer basic undergrad World Civ stuff, but we have some smaller, interesting books, too. Last season we came out with books about Alger Hiss, Teddy Roosevelt, the Mississippi Freedom Summer, and Senator Sumner. Again, I love my job.
