3. I hate them too.
But, my home improvement budget is tied up in other areas at the moment. One of my bi-fold doors was not installed when I moved in, so I bought the springy things that ride in the track, and hung it tonight.

7. Picking up the phone and calling an electrician.
I have a garage door opener, but no way to plug it in. So, I need to have someone come out and stick a box in the ceiling.

Oh, I'm going to put up a new fixture in the dining room, too. There's this hideous thing from the early 1980s there now. Ugh.

Then there's the drywall repair in the living room ceiling. I'm hiring that out too. That's what repair allowances are for.

9. Yep. It will be pretty straightforward, but still not something I want to
mess with myself. Kinda weird having a brand new opener, and no way to use it. I guess I could string an extension cord...but I'm not parking the car in there yet anyway.

(

not

)

precisely because the floors in this FRICKING HOUSE aren't level and Ms Uly wanted bifold doors in the baby's room.

16. Ugh...at least my floors are level.
My inspector used this cool tool to measure any inconsistencies in the floor - only 1/4" off throughout the whole house.
